Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information PH Profit Scout (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the app, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). By creating an account you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not see or store your Google password.
  • Data you create. Information you enter to use the tools — for example your tax profile (tax regime and sales totals) and any invoice records you save.
  • Images you upload. Screenshots you submit to the price-comparison tool and invoice photos you submit for capture are processed to read prices or invoice fields, then discarded — they are not stored on our servers.
  • Usage data. Anonymous analytics (a random visitor identifier and basic events such as page visits) used to understand how the app is used. This is not linked to your name.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and operate your account and provide the app’s features.
  • To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
  • To understand usage and improve the product.
  • To send you promotional offers and discounts — only if you have separately opted in. You can withdraw this at any time.

3. Legal basis

We process your information based on your consent, and as necessary to provide the service you have requested. Marketing messages are sent only on the basis of your separate, opt-in consent.

4. How your data is stored and shared

Account and app data are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) hosted in the Singapore region. We use a small number of service providers to operate the app:

  • Google — for sign-in (authentication).
  • Neon — managed database and authentication hosting.
  • Anthropic — to transiently read prices from screenshots and fields from invoice images. These images are not retained after processing.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You may ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below; we will action verified requests within a reasonable period.

6. Your rights under the Data Privacy Act

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is processed;
  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • object to processing and withdraw consent;
  • have your data erased or blocked;
  • lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) at privacy.gov.ph.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will ask you to review and agree again the next time you sign in.
