• Standard (iPhone 17): Daily driver, one-hand use, commute-friendly size. There is no iPhone 18 non-Pro this fall — this is still the default. Skip if you need real optical zoom or max battery.
• Air: Lightest current iPhone. Skip if you scroll for long stretches — the thin edge presses into your fingers.
• 18 Pro: 48MP Fusion main with a physical variable aperture, telephoto, A20 Pro. Cinematic mode can be applied after recording; Reference Image is a digital-negative check, not a reason to overpay. Skip if you mainly chat, browse, and stream.
• 18 Pro Max: Longest battery Apple has quoted for PH (up to 43h video) and the biggest slab screen. Skip if you carry it in a pocket or use it one-handed. 249 g bare.

Should you buy iPhone Duo?

Duo is Apple’s first foldable, not a better 18 Pro. Official Apple PH starts at ₱159,990 for 256GB — ₱65,000 above 18 Pro. US list $1,999. Colors: Star White / Night Sky. US pre-order Oct 16 (2026-10-16) / ships Oct 23 (2026-10-23). PH dates were unlisted at verification.

• Buy it if you will actually use the 7.6″ inner screen: Split View, notes, video, poseable StandBy, hands-free FaceTime. That’s the job.
• Skip it if you wanted a camera upgrade. Duo has no tetraprism telephoto and no variable aperture. 18 Pro wins photos. Duo also drops Face ID for side-button Touch ID.
• eSIM-only worldwide — no physical SIM tray. 18 Pro in the Philippines still has nano-SIM + eSIM. If you run Globe + Smart, or a work SIM you cannot convert, Duo is a carrier problem before it is a phone.
• First-gen hinge + ₱159,990 is a warranty bet. Gray/import Duo is how a cheap sticker becomes an unrepairable brick. Authorized stock, serial-visible invoice, AppleCare+ if you can get it.
• Closed it is 11.3 mm thick and 254 g — heavier than 18 Pro Max, and thicker than anything else in this guide. Open it is 5.2 mm. Pocket thickness is the daily tax, not the open-screen demo.

• 128GB: Only on 17 and older, and only if you ruthlessly offload media and keep iCloud on Optimize. 18 Pro / Duo do not offer 128GB.
• 256GB (default): Best balance for camera-heavy use and a year+ of camera roll without constant cleanup. Compare this tier first across sellers.
