Why the Budget Goes Past ₱10,000

At about ₱10,000, the best sellers were the Brother DCP-T430W (₱9,746), the HP Smart Tank 520/580 (₱8,599) and the Epson L3210/L3310 (₱9,790). None of them prints 2-sided automatically. For a long black-and-white document, that means turning the stack over by hand. Every printer below has automatic 2-sided printing.

Sorted by units sold on each listing. Prices are as Lazada showed them on October 30, 2026, with no vouchers applied. The Brother and Epson listings showed a sale banner for Oct 29 to 31, so their prices may change after that. Speeds, tray sizes and duty cycles are each maker's own figures. Duty cycle shows "Not stated" where the maker's page gives none.

Reading the Cost per Page

• Each figure is the price of a genuine bottle on Lazada divided by the page yield the maker states for it.
• Brother and Epson say their yields are not based on ISO/IEC 24711, and HP's spec page does not say. Each is the maker's own number, so read ₱0.07 to ₱0.09 a black page as close to even. The color gap is wider.
• The color figure covers cyan, magenta and yellow only. It leaves out the black used in color pages.

If You Never Print Color

A mono laser prints black only. The most-sold LazMall one in the Brother search was the Brother DCP-L2640DW at ₱13,149.75 (crossed out at ₱15,450) from greenwavepc, with 390 sold. We did not check toner prices, so this guide makes no per-page claim for it.

Buying Checks

• Ink prices. A LazMall listing titled "Original Brother Ink Set of 4 Colors" was ₱150. The genuine Brother black bottle plus the color tripack came to ₱2,137.45 at greenwavepc. ₱150 for four bottles is far below that, so ask the seller to show the bottles are genuine.
• Listing titles. The HP printer listing title mentions Fax, Portable, Bluetooth. HP's spec page lists print, scan, copy and Wi-Fi. Go by the spec page.
• Warranty field.The Epson listing's warranty field reads "Warranty not available", while its photo says 2-year warranty. Ask the store which warranty applies. The HP and Brother listings say 2 years international manufacturer warranty and 2 years local manufacturer warranty.
• Sold counts. One count covers the whole listing and keeps growing while it stays up, so a newer listing of the same model can show fewer.
